Taking a break from working on a particular job to do something else is often a good idea. By working on smaller, no-deadline projects, I keep my creative process strong. So for the last week, I casually sketched and then vector-traced ten new logo concepts and put them in the Graphic Design section of my portfolio. Most of the businesses are real, found on job hunting websites, a couple are hypothetical or entirely fictional — Either way, the design challenge was the same: To brand (or RE-brand) a company with a sharp vector logo and some custom type design.
